Francisco was born on October 12, 1925 in Celorico da Beira, Portugal. He immigrated to the United States with his wife Manuela and his son Victor in 1962 where he came to reside in Elizabeth, NJ. Francisco worked his way to be Master Tailor and had a successful 45-year career. Francisco and Manuela retired in 1990 and have been dedicated and loving grandparents since then.
Francisco spent his retirement spoiling his family with custom homemade clothing, and giving his grandchildren everything they ever asked for. Francisco maintained his healthy lifestyle by keeping physically and socially active well into his 90’s. Francisco took pleasure in his household projects, outdoor walks, and gardening. He also enjoyed rooting for Sporting Clube de Portugal and the New York Yankees. Francisco prioritized seeing his family, friends, and neighbors often, and anyone who met him would agree that he was truly a kind and gentle soul.
Francisco was predeceased by his parents Antonio and Maria Alegria Oliveira, and brothers Lucio, Jose Maria, and Manuel. He is survived by his wife Manuela, son Victor (Linda), grandchildren Victor (Brianna) and Jessica, great-granddaughter Eleanor, brother Antonio, sister Dioguina, his many nieces and nephews, and ganddog Jake.
