In Guyana, Mr. Persaud was a renowned plumbing engineer for Guyana Water Authority. He moved to America at 49 years old and began working for Champion envelope company before eventually working for Rutgers University as a security officer. Working for Rutgers was one of Harry’s greatest gratifications.
He truly enjoyed going to work every night and referred to his colleagues as ‘family’.
Harry Persaud was a guiding light to those around him, so much so that we had the honor of witnessing the rare occurrence of a meteor shower combined with a show of the Northern Lights to create an awe inspiring moment for all those who witnessed it. This served as a naturally occurring testament to the remarkable experience of knowing Mr. Persaud and having the honor of being a part of his wonderful life.
