Henry W Gornic Jr.

Henry W. Gornic JR. died of natural causes at the home where he grew up and lived in Rahway, NJ on March 7th 2023. He was 76. Henry worked for many years at Eastern Airlines and continued his working career at FedEx before retiring. His coworkers at FedEx coined a phrase ‘Hankotize’ and submitted it to the Urban dictionary. Hank saw the humor in and was honored because of his love of reading and books that he made it into a dictionary. His father, Henry W. Gornic SR., his mother, Ann Gluck Gornic, and his brother, Raymond P. Gornic, preceded him in death. Surviving members of the family are his sister, Sandra Gornic, close friend and confidante, Veronica Rickard, sister-in-law, Sharon Gornic along with two nephews and two nieces and cousins from the Gornic and Gluck families. There will be the scattering of his ashes at the Rosehill Cemetery in Linden, NJ at the Scattering Garden on March 29th 2023 at 1:00PM. Family and friends are invited to join us as a priest from St. Theresa’s Church will guide us in our final good-byes to Henry.
