Heriberta Xiomara Capote

Heriberta Xiomara Capote, 100, of Elizabeth, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 27, 2021. Heriberta was born on March 16, 1921 in Chamba Ciego de Camaguey, Cuba, to her parents Clotilde Nazco and Jose Rodriguez Diaz. In Cuba, Heriberta took sewing classes and became a pattern designer which she loved. Herberta loved to cook for her family and enjoyed cooking for everyone. She strived to always keep her family together. She also enjoyed gardening and loved flowers.

Heriberta was predeceased by her loving husband, Norte E. Capote Tamayo, 1 brother; Domingo-Julio, 4 sisters; Auroa, Candida, Maria, Francisca.

Heriberta is survived by daughter; Vivian Erdely, 2 sons; Augusto Capote and wife Anita, Jose Manuel Capote, and wife Haydee, 6 Grandchildren; Jose Norte, and wife Rocia, Yanet Capote, and husband Juan-Carlo, Gretchel Smith, and husband Tom, Joseph Erdely, Miguel Capote, and wife Lacey, David Erdely, and 8 great- grandchildren.

A visitation for Heriberta will be held on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 from 9:00AM to the 11:00AM prayer service held at Krowicki McCracken Funeral Home, 2124 East St. George Avenue Linden, NJ 07036. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Newark.
