

Iraida Batallan, born to Antonio Segundo Batallan and Dora Gonzalez Batallan, a beloved mother of 4 children, grandmother of 9 grandkids, and friend, passed away on Sept 17, 2023 peacefully at her nursing home at the age of 79 in Linden, New Jersey. She was born in Matanza, Cuba in October 18, 1943, and lived a life defined by love, resilience, and compassion.
Iraida was a pillar of strength and a beacon of love for her family. She leaves behind a legacy of unwavering love and unforgettable memories, touching the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know her. She cherished family above all else and was the epitome of selflessness.
She was a woman of many talents and passions, always eager to lend a helping hand and share her wisdom with those in need. From her delicious traditional Cuban meals to her warm embrace, she had a way of making everyone feel welcomed and loved. We will truly miss her rambunctious personality of being happy and sad.
In her journey through life, Iraida demonstrated immense resilience and perseverance, overcoming challenges and embracing every moment with grace and working with her flower business in Elizabeth.
She is survived by her 3 children, Armando, Manny and Alma, who will continue to carry her memory in their hearts, forever grateful for the time they shared with her.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a funeral on Friday, September 22, 2023, 9:00 am from Krowicki McCracken Funeral Home, Linden. Funeral mass St. Mary RC Church, Elizabeth 10:00 am. Cremation will be private.
