Irene Valentin

Irene best known as “Mama” or “Iris”, was predeceased by her husband, Luis Angel Valentin. She was a beloved mother to Evelyn, Gladis, Luis and Omaria. A loving sister to Eugenio, Bolivar, Eugenia, Maria, Antonio, and Doris. Caring aunt to all of her nieces and nephews. And she will be especially missed by her ten grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren whom she dedicated her time, attention, love and care to.

We will always remember her, as the joyful, God-fearing woman whose love language was food; who could always be found dancing in her kitchen and infectiously laughing over a big pot of sopa de salchichón or her famous pasteles with arroz con gandules. Mama taught us that sometimes, the best way to care, support, and serve people in your life is simply to feed them. Those of us who were blessed to know her and be loved by her know that our beautiful memories and the imprint she left on our hearts will be enough to carry us through the rest of our lives.

We will be honoring her beautiful life with the following services:

A visitation for Irene will be held Wednesday, September 18, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at KROWICKI MCCRACKEN FUNERAL HOME, 2124 East Saint George Ave, Linden, NJ 07036.

A funeral mass will occur Thursday, September 19, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St Mary of the Assumption, 155 Washington Ave, Elizabeth, NJ 07202.

A funeral will occur Thursday, September 19, 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Rosedale Cemetery, 750 E Linden Ave, Linden, NJ 07036.
