

Jaroslav “Jerry” Ferjo, 78, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on October 8, 2025. He was born on June 8, 1947, in Krasok, Slovakia, and lived a life full of faith, adventure, and devotion to his family.
Jerry was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Mary & John Ferjo. He is survived by his loving sister, Olga Karak, nieces Lauren Harfst (Steve), Kristen Miller (Jon), and his nephew, John Karak (Laura). He was also a proud great-uncle to Tatum Miller, Leighton Harfst, Emory Harfst, Logan Harfst and Kaiden Karak who brought him immense joy and laughter. Jerry will also be lovingly remembered by his friend, Karen Babilya.
Jerry graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and went on to fulfill his lifelong dream of flight. His career as a pilot took him across the globe with Pakistan International Airlines and Gemini Air Cargo. Through his dedication to aviation, Jerry found both purpose and joy, cherishing every opportunity to explore the world from above.
A man grounded in faith and guided by love, Jerry was devoted to his family and his church community. He served faithfully as an altar server at St. George’s Parish in Linden, NJ, and found great peace in his spiritual life. Jerry will be remembered as an exceptionally kind-hearted person whose warmth and generosity touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

A visitation will be held at Krowicki McCracken Funeral Home, located at 2124 East Saint Georges Ave, Linden, NJ 07036, on October 13, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Followed by a Funeral Mass at St. George Byzantine Catholic Church, 417 McCandless St, Linden, NJ on October 14, 2025, at 9:30 am. The Internment will be at St. Gertrude Cemetery & Mausoleum, 53 Inman Ave, Colonia, NJ 07067.
