Dr. Jean Claude Alexis

Jean Claude Alexis, MD was the beloved only son and youngest child of Francin Alexis and Lucille Prince Alexis of Haiti who predeceased him.  After completing his medical degree in Haiti, he pursued advanced training in Switzerland before coming to the United States where he worked as a dedicated and knowledgeable physician for several decades.  He died too soon to lung cancer.  He is survived by his wife, Georgette Gilda Alexis, MD and their 3 children Francin Claude-Gil Alexis, MD; Anabel Sybile Alexis; and Giovanni Rafael Patrick Alexis.  He is also survived by his sister Altagrace Irene Vilfort and her children Monique Brice, Karline Monis, Bertholin Vilfort, and Romuald Vilfort; sister Philomene Edwidge Pinchinat and her children Louis Faubert Pinchinat, Marjorie Romain, Max Pinchinat, Marlyne Therjuste, and Marva Eugene; and sister Marie Georgette Julien and her children Wesley Julien, Jimmy Julien, and Rose Bettyna Julien.  He is survived by Yves Marie Frage, Fritz Gerald Frage, Leurbourg Chandler Frage, and Jimmy Frage, children of his deceased sister Marguerite Adrienne Frage; and Sabine Sigue, Marie France Pressoir, Pyrhens Marc Henry Saintvil, and Dimitri Saintvil, children of his deceased sister Sassufie Saintvil.  He is survived by a half brother Gilbert Alexis and his children Nerlande Alexis, Jacques Alexis, and Patrick Alexis.  He is also survived by several cousins: Omane Lucien, Marso Lucien, Venise Lucien, and predeceased by cousins Maurice Lucien, Lorraine Lucien, and Yvette Petit De as well as 47 great nieces and nephews and 4 great great nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM, St Patrick's Roman Catholic Church located at 492 Bramhall Ave, Jersey City, NJ 07304. A funeral mass will be at 10:00 AM. A funeral will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park, 1500 Stuyvesant Ave., Union, NJ 07083.
