

Born on October 27, 1928, in Bayonne, NJ, Jeannette moved to Poland when her parents returned to their home country in 1933. There she survived the German occupation of Poland during WWII, met Joseph Drazek, and they were married on June 1, 1947.
Jeannette moved back to the U.S.A. in 1948 while Joe was imprisoned by the Germans. She stayed with her cousin Angela Kolanko, her husband Raymond, Sr. and their two children Dolores and Raymond, Jr. As a U.S. citizen, she worked with the U.S. Consulate and the Catholic Church to affect his release and bring him to America. They celebrated Fifty years of marriage in 1997. He predeceased her on April 28, 2001.
She had one daughter, Linda Ferrari (nee Drazek, Miller) and son-in-law David B. Ferrari. She had four grandchildren, Matthew D. and Nathan D. Miller and Melissa B. Ferrari and husband Ryan Brockman and Michael B. Ferrari. She is also survived by her three great grandchildren Avery, Matthew and Victoria. Other surviving family members include her niece Danuta Bieszczad, great niece Magdalena Wiater, great nephew Bartosz Bieszczad, niece Stanislawa Milan, cousin Raymond Kolanko, Jr. and cousin Janek Szczygiel and their families.
In life Jeannette was involved in helping others until she was no longer able. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 57, she was recording secretary of the Polish Women’s Alliance and she crocheted lap robes for an assisted living center in Hackensack through St. Paul’s R.C. Church in Ramsey.

A visitation for Jeannette will be held Friday, November 24, 2023 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Krowicki McCracken Funeral Home, 2124 East Saint George Ave, Linden. Funeral mass will follow at St. Theresa's Church, 11:00 AM. Interment will be held on Monday, November 27, 2023 at 12:15 PM at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Linden.
