Mrowicki finished her loving journey on May 17, 2025. She is preceded
in death by her parents, George and Lottie; her brother, George; and
her baby daughter, Susan. She is survived by her loving husband of 56
years, Carroll; her devoted brother, Ray; her adoring son, Matt; and
her blessed daughter-in-law, who she treated as her own daughter,
Myra.
Judith grew up in Jersey City, New Jersey, attended St. Mary High
School, and studied at New Jersey City University. She aspired to be a
teacher and had the opportunity to substitute teach at the grammar
school her son attended. She found her true calling when she started
to work as a rehabilitation counselor for the State of New Jersey
Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services. Over a successful
25-year career, she was recognized by DVRS with a promotion to Senior
Counselor, and helped countless individuals with mental health
disabilities prepare for, find, retain, or return to employment, until
her retirement. She was recognized by Bridgeway House for her 25 years
of service and her staunch support for that facility and their mutual
clients. She always aspired to help people, and that was a constant in
both her professional and personal life.
Judith was a passionate fan of the New York Yankees, following the
team through good times and bad from the eras of Mickey Mantle to
Aaron Judge. She was a lifelong and devoted reader, and loved theater,
music, dancing, and the arts. She enjoyed word puzzles, found joy in
Teddy Bears, and smiled on the warm beaches of the Jersey Shore.
Judith was interested in the history of the British Royal Family, and
a family trip to London was a lifetime memory. She and her husband
made numerous trips to Vermont over 50 years, and her love of that
area was passed along to her children. She loved her cat, Misty, and
her grand-puppies Dorothy, Chloe, Molly, and Moxie. She was a trusted
listener, who expressed a sincere interest in what others were doing
and could always be counted on to express delight, surprise, and
support at the adventures that others shared with her. If you were
enjoying a nice glass of wine at the time, even better. She made you
feel special.
A funeral mass for Judith will be held Thursday, May 22, 2025 at 11:00 AM, St Joseph's Catholic Cemetery and Mausoleums, 62 Cedar Grove Rd, Toms River, NJ 08753.
