Luz M Cruz

Ms. Luz M. Cruz a former resident of the Bronx, NY and Elizabeth, NJ passed peacefully into eternal rest on Nov.1, 2021 after a 4year battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Luz was the precious mother to three beautiful children, Julian Raul Torres III, Jason Raul Torres and Jennifer Rae Torres. She was also a grandmother to Jalen Raul Torres. Ms. Cruz was the oldest of six children: Raymond Cruz, Jesus Cruz (late), Evelyn Cruz, Edwin Cruz and William Cruz. She was the beloved daughter to the late Luz Maria Cruz and the late Jesus Cruz. Luz was born and raised in Puerto Rico where she spent many of her early years of schooling in Puerto Rico. Once Luz and her family settled in the Bronx, Ny in the 70’s, Luz graduated from Jane Adams High School with dreams of becoming a nurse. She later finished her education graduating from Bronx Community College with her Associate’s in Nursing. From there she blossomed into her career where Luz dedicated 35 years of service. Ms. Cruz will be remembered by her clients and colleagues as a caring and compassionate healthcare professional with a pleasant demeanor and a gentle touch. Luz had a strong love and passion in caring for others especially her children. She enjoyed going to church with friends, shopping, cooking, and being with family. To know Ms. Cruz without a doubt, you had to Love her; A smile so inviting, hugs of warmth, words of wisdom and a heart of Gold! Luz will be remembered by her Love for others, her dedication and drive for her children and family. Luz Milagros Cruz is survived by her three children Julian Raul Torres III, Jason Raul Torres and Jennifer Rae Torres, and her grandson Jalen Raul Torres.

A visitation for Luz will be held Friday, November 12, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Krowicki McCracken Funeral Home, 2124 East Saint George Ave, Linden, NJ 07036.
