Marcelino Rodriguez

On Thursday, January 14th, 2021, Marcelino Rodriguez, loving husband and father of three children, passed away at the age of 81. Marcelino was born on January 16, 1939, in San Nicolas, Cuba to Benigna and Wenselao Eustaquio Rodriguez . He was a skilled craftsman who worked with precision and creativity. He married his one true love, Onilda, in 1965 and together they achieved their dream of moving to America where they lovingly raised their three children, Luis, Marilin, and David in Elizabeth, NJ.

Marcelino’s true passion was his family. Every year he counted down the days until summer so that he could man the barbeque surrounded by his loved ones, his doves, and his towering tomato plants. He adored his grandchildren and truly believed that one bowl of ice cream was never enough. He will be best remembered for his dedication to his family, strong will, and loving nature.

Marcelino was preceded in death by his parents Benigna and Wenselao Eustaquio Rodriguez. He is survived by his wife Onilda, his three children, Luis, Marilin, and David, his siblings Maria, Martico, Mercedes, and Juana, his 9 grandchildren, Krystin, Maylin, Yanelis, Kaylee, Rose, Ryan, Nina, David, and Noah, and several nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, January 20th, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Krowicki McCracken Funeral Home, located at 2124 E St Georges Avenue in Linden, NJ 07036. The viewing will be immediately followed by the funeral service at 11:00 p.m., at Rosedale Cemetery, located at 350 E. Linden Avenue, Linden, NJ 07036.

El jueves, 14 de enero de 2021, falleció a la edad de 81 años Marcelino Rodríguez, esposo y padre amoroso de tres hijos. Marcelino, hijo de Benigna y Wenselao Eustaquio Rodriguez , nació el 16 de enero de 1939 en , San Nicolas Cuba. Era un hábil artesano que trabajaba con precisión y creatividad. Se casó con su verdadero amor, Onilda, en 1965 y juntos lograron sus sueños de mudarse a Estados Unidos, donde criaron con amor a sus tres hijos, Luis, Marilin y David en Elizabeth, Nueva Jersey.

La verdadera pasión de Marcelino era su familia. Cada año contaba los días hasta el verano para poder hacer la barbacoa rodeado de sus seres queridos, sus palomas y sus plantas de tomate altísimas. Adoraba a sus nietos y realmente creía que un tazón de helado nunca era suficiente para ellos. Será mejor recordado por su dedicación a su familia, fuerte voluntad y bondad amorosa.

Los padres de Marcelino, Benigna y Wenselao Eustaquio Rodriguez , fallecieron con anterioridad. Le sobreviven su esposa Onilda, sus tres hijos, Luis, Marilin y David, sus hermanos María, Martico, Mercedes y Juana, sus 9 nietos, Krystin, Maylin, Yanelis, Kaylee, Rose, Ryan, Nina, David, y Noah, y varias sobrinas y sobrinos.

Se llevará a cabo una servicio conmemorativo público, el miércoles 20 de enero de 2021, de las 9:00 am a las 11 am en la funeraria Krowicki McCracken, ubicada en 2124 E St Georges Avenue en Linden, NJ 07036. Esta reunión será seguida inmediatamente por el funeral a las 11:00 am, en el cementerio Rosedale, ubicado en 350 E. Linden Avenue, Linden, NJ 07036.
