

Marcello Maldonado, age 78, of Elizabeth, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2026, in his own home.
Born on January 17, 1948, in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico, Marcello came to the United States at the age of seven and went on to build a life marked by perseverance, devotion, and deep love for his family. A proud veteran of the United States Army, he served his country honorably and carried the values of duty, discipline, and integrity with him throughout his life.
Marcello dedicated many years of hard work as an industrial mechanic and later as a business owner. He was admired for his strong work ethic, determination, and generous spirit. He took great pride in providing for those he loved and in laying a foundation of strength and opportunity for future generations.
Above all, Marcello was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He shared a cherished life with his beloved wife, Daisy Maldonado. He was the proud father of Marcello, Juan and Isaac, and a treasured grandfather to Katelyn, Janice, Aileen, Alani, Julius, Ethan, and Avery. His family was the heart of his life, and he found his greatest joy in their love, presence, and accomplishments.
He is also survived by his sisters Yvette, Lucy, Leila and Angeles. Marcello will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
His legacy of strength, kindness, perseverance, and unconditional love will remain forever in the hearts of those he leaves behind. Though his presence will be profoundly missed, the memory of his life and the example he set will continue to inspire all who loved him.
May he rest in eternal peace.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a visiting on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, 5:00-9:00 pm at Krowicki McCracken Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 6:30 pm. Cremation private.
