Maria Patricia Soltys

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved daughter, sister, and friend, Maria Soltys, who left us far too soon at the age of 16 after a courageous battle with cancer. Maria passed away peacefully on April 1st, 2025 surrounded by her family and loved ones.

Born on July 17, 2008 Maria was a bright and beautiful soul whose kindness, strength, and determination touched the lives of all who knew her. Despite the challenges that cancer presented, she faced each day with unwavering courage, always finding time to make others smile with her infectious laugh and warm heart.

Maria was a student at Scotch Plains Fanwood High School. She was known for her love of dance, traveling, shopping, and spending time with her family, friends, and dogs. She had big dreams and a heart full of ambition, always striving to make a difference. She was deeply loved by her family, friends, and all who were lucky enough to cross her path.

Her legacy will live on in the countless memories of her selflessness, her fierce determination, and the love she shared with those around her. She was a true light in this world, and her spirit will continue to inspire us all.

Maria is survived by her parents, Natalia and Vieslav Soltys, her siblings, Irena and Bozhena Soltys, her extended family, and her many friends who loved her dearly.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to The Ronald McDonald House Charities of New York in honor of Maria’s memory and the fight against cancer.

Though she may no longer walk among us, Maria will always remain in our hearts, a reminder of the power of love, hope, and resilience.

Visitation for Maria will be held Friday, April 4, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at KROWICKI MCCRACKEN FUNERAL HOME, 2124 East Saint Georges Ave, Linden, NJ 07036.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a funeral on Saturday, April 5, 2025, 9:00 am from the funeral home. Funeral mass St. Theresa RC Church, Linden 10:00 am. Interment Saint Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.
