Mary M. Bullock, 91 formerly of Edison for 15 years before moving to Myrtle Beach ,S.C. to lived with her family.Passed away peacefully on November 22, 2019 at the Embrace Hospice House in Myrtle Beach, S.C. with her family at her side. She pre-deceased by her husband Bishop Charlie W. Bullock on 2001. He was the founder and Pastor of Greater Mt. Zion Church in Cranford for 40 years until his passing. He was also the Pastor of the Old Ship Of Zion Church of Center Moriches, N.Y. Mary Magdalene Elam was the fifth of nine children born to the late Elvira and Ernest Elam in Henderson, North Carolina on February 17, 1928. She attended the Cephas Springs School in Henderson, NC. Mary Magdalene was a member of the Saint’s Delight UHC in Manson, NC where she was immersed in the Christian faith from an early age. In January 1945 she married Charlie Wesley Bullock. In 1955 they relocated to Elizabeth, NJ. She worked at a clothing manufacturer for several years. She then became a full-time housewife. She worked hard to build her home based on her love for God and for her family. Family was a priority for her and she taught her children about God and encouraged them to do well in school and to enjoy the opportunities they were given for a higher education. In 1961 she became the First Lady at Greater Mt. Zion Church in Cranford, NJ where she worked diligently to help grow and develop the church. She gave tirelessly of herself as she assisted her husband in this new endeavor. She served as the devotional leader, Sunday school teacher, prayer warrior, missionary and sometimes the drummer. In 1977 she also became the first lady of the Old Ship of Zion Church in Center Moriches, NY. Here she continued to work to help grow and build this church. She was a major contributor to help financially build their current edifice. She often said she didn’t have it personally to give but she could bake cakes and pies to sell and she did so successfully. Mary Magdalene is survived by her children: Jessie Terry (James) Myrtle Beach, SC; Queen Payton, Mt. Laurel, NJ; Ida Corbitt (Herbert) Myrtle Beach, SC; Patricia Darling (Alvin) Hightstown, NJ; Florence Carter, Myrtle Beach, SC; Bruno Wesley (Sheryl) Burlington, NC and her son-in-love Bill Yelverton, Union, NJ. Her grandchildren: Melissa (Martin); Dawn (Andrew); Malkia (George); Falani; Tracy (Deon); Christopher; Shondi (Omar); Melissa; Shaun (Jessica); Shelvin (Lakesha); Wesley (Ayiesha); Scott (Amirah); Celise; Wayne (Kendra); Natalie (Emmanuel); and Brandon and 44 great grandchildren. Mary Magdalene is also survived by her siblings: Clarence Elam, Ruth Bullock (Nathaniel), Bishop Isaiah Elam (Erma) and Dorothy Hart and a host of nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law Evelyn Little (Edward) Murfreesboro, TN and Jewel Hawkins, Henderson, NC; brothers-in-law James and Omega (Lucille) of Henderson, NC. She is predeceased by her husband Charlie, her daughter Odessa Yelverton and son-in-law Ben Payton. Visitation for Mary M. Bullock will be on Friday November 29,2019 from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm at the Krowicki Mc Cracken Funeral Home 2124 East St. George Avenue Linden N.J. and from 6:30pm to 8:30 pm at the Greater Mt. Zion Church 43 Johnson Ave. Cranford N.J. Funeral Services will be held Saturday November 30,2019 at St. Paul's Church of God 2780 Vauxhall Rd. Union N.J. Entombment will follow in the Hollywood Memorial Gardens Cemetery Union N.J. The family will be receiving relatives and friends after her funeral at the Bethlehem Judah Christain Church 83 Galloping Hill Road Elizabeth N.J. for the Repass
