Michelen O Kozal

Michelen O. Kozal of Manchester Township, NJ passed away on June 27, 2026. Born on July 17, 1945, to George & Anne Onda, sister Georgeanne, and brother George. Michelen graduated from Battin High School and started out in her career with the Wakefern Corporation. Attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and an accounting background were qualities she utilized in different positions throughout her career.

Michelen was preceded in death by her beloved husband Joseph Kozal, in 2017. Their loving marriage of 52 years was the cornerstone of her joy and happiness. Together they enjoyed raising their family, and spending time with grandchildren and dear friends.

She found her greatest happiness in her marriage to Joe, family, and creating a beautiful home. Cooking, baking, reading, painting, and vacations with family were some of her favorite activities. She cared deeply for her family and friends, and approached everything she did with interest and curiosity, whether painting, sewing, or trying new recipes.

Michelen is survived by her son, Joseph Kozal Jr; daughter, Sandra Devaney, and son-in-law, Robert Devaney; her cherished grandchildren, Joseph Kozal III (wife Kari Kozal), Jack Devaney, and William Devaney. She was blessed with her adored great-grandchildren Ryan Kozal, Raegan Kozal, and Penelope Kozal.

A private service will be held on July 1, 2026 at Saint Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia, New Jersey.
