Moncy John

Mr. Moncy John was called to eternity on Friday July 1, 2022. He was 54 years old.Moncy was born in April, 1968, in Neelimangalam, Kottayam, Kerala, to Late Very Rev. C. M. John Cor Episcopa and Saramma John. He studied in M.D. Seminary High school, Kottayam. He then completed B.A in Political Science degree in 1989 at Baselios College, Kottayam. He later achieved his M.A. in Sociology in 1992 at University of Kerala and M.Sw in 1996 at Dr. G.R. Damodharan College of Science, Coimbatore. He married Irene in 2002, daughter of Rev. K. L. Yesudas and Late Achamma Yesudas. He was a member of Mar Gregorios Orthodox Church, Neelimangalem and St. Basilios-Gregorios Oxthodox Church, North Plainfield.

Moncy came to the United States in 1997 and resided initially in New Jersey, then to Texas and eventually returned to New Jersey in ¬2005. He pursued a career in Social Work and started his own firm Community Reunion. Moncy enjoyed being in the presence of his loved ones and in the company of his friends. He also enjoyed cooking, malayalam movies, sports, fishing and cultivating plants around his garden. He also enjoyed traveling and exploring the globe.

Moncy is survived by his wife Irene John; his mother Saramma John; his sister Molly Sajan and brother-in-law Sajan Chacko, his sister Mini Jaickh and brother-in-law Jaickh Thomas, his brother Alex John and his sister-in-law Renjini John; Father-in-law Rev K. L. Yesudas; Sister-in-law Alice John & husband John K. John; his first cousin Mathew C. Mathew & Molly Mathew; nephews and nieces Nithin Chacko, Akila De Alwis, Noah Chacko & Anya Chacko; Alan Chacko, Femie Joji & Lucas Chacko; Tohn Jaickh & Melissa Jacob; Reuben Jaickh; Joshua John; Mathew John; Aida John & Levin Lukose; Estha John; Danny Mathew.

A visitation for Moncy will take place Tuesday, July 5, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Krowicki McCracken Funeral Home, 2124 East Saint George Ave, Linden, NJ 07036. A prayer service will take place Wednesday, July 6, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Basilios-Gregorios Malankara Orthodox Church, 9 Mercer Ave, North Plainfield, NJ 07060. A committal service will follow at Grace Land Memorial Park, 1900 Galloping Hill Rd., Keniworth, NJ 07033.
