

Norman McClain was born on December 24, 1963, he passed away peacefully at home on April 27, 2026, surrounded by his loving family at age 62. He was a loving and devoted husband to Lisa McClain for 33 years. Norman was known for his kindness, wit, and deep love for family. A truly amazing man that made and left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Phenomenal husband, father, brother, friend, uncle and son-in-law.
Norman devoted 37 years to Elizabethtown Gas and was recognized for his dedication, natural charm, realism, and energy he brought to the organization. His coworkers became like family, and he earned their respect and affection. Both professionally and personally, he made a lasting impact on countless people’s lives.
Norman enjoyed sports, especially his Dallas Cowboys. He loved being outdoors, traveling, playing sports, good food, loved the mall, shopping, riding his Spyder, spending time with family and friends, great sense of humor and loved to entertain. Best host ever!
Norman was always impeccably dressed, sharp and stylish everywhere he went.
He’s provided coaching and mentorship to children across various communities and his bond with the kids was evident.
Loved by many and will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Lisa McClain, son Andres McClain. Daughters Alisha McClain and Lexus DiMaio. Grandchildren, Isaiah Deshawn Smith, Jordan Anthony Heyward Jr. and Azarah Karla McClain. Also survived by his sister, Patricia Abdus-Salaam, brother Frank McClain Jr. and his wife Amy McClain. Brothers Roy McClain and Shawn McClain. His nieces Akeia McClain, Jameela Abdus-Salaam, Brianna McClain, Sanaa McClain and Jalaisha McClain. His nephew Maurice McClain and his wife Syreeta McClain, Tremayne McClain, Keylan McClain, Alexis McClain, Alejandro McClain, Ariel McClain and Zachary McClain as well as his great nephews and nieces. He’s also survived by a host of cousins and extended family.
His legacy of love will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Rest now and watch over us like the angel you are. Forever in my heart.
A service will be held at Krowicki McCracken Funeral Home, located at 2124 East St. George Ave, Linden, NJ 07036 on Thursday, May 7, 2026, from 5:00pm to 9:00 pm
Cremation will be held privately. May he rest in peace.
