Patrick Oliver Sheridan

Patrick Oliver Sheridan, 88, of Elizabeth, New Jersey, passed away on August 14, 2026. Born in County Cavan, Ireland on November 11, 1937, Patrick emigrated to the United States in 1955, carrying forward a deep pride in his roots and a steady devotion to the life he built thereafter.

Throughout his working years, Patrick served with quiet purpose and reliability, supporting his community during his time at both Standard Tool Manufacturing and the Elizabeth Parking Authority. In every season of life, he was cherished by those who knew him and beloved by those who had the privilege to call him family and friend.

In 1961, Patrick married his beloved wife, Mary Sheridan (nee Callinan), and together they shared 64 years of marriage marked by enduring commitment and steadfast love. Patrick is predeceased by his three sisters; Mary, Margaret, and Annette; as well as his two brothers; John and Terry Sheridan. He is survived by his devoted children, which includes his daughter Ann Mendez and husband Al; his daughter Mary Milanes and husband Douglas; his daughter Eileen Laspata and husband Greg; as well as his son John Sheridan and wife Lili. Patrick is also survived by his nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Patrick’s sense of fellowship and faith in community found expression in his membership in both The Ancient Order of Hibernians and The Knights of Columbus, organizations that reflected the values he held close and the connections he treasured.

Visitation will be held at KROWICKI MCCRACKEN FUNERAL HOME, 2124 East Saint Georges Ave, Linden, NJ 07036, on August 17, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Hedwig Roman Catholic Church, 600 Myrtle St #608, Elizabeth, NJ 07202, on August 18, 2026, at 10:00am.

Interment will follow at Saint Gertrude Cemetery & Mausoleum, 53 Inman Ave, Woodbridge Township, NJ 07067, on August 18, 2026, at 11:30am.
