

Paul Victor Kurtz passed away on July 12, 2020 in the comfort of his home in Linden, New Jersey at the age of 97. He was born on June 9, 1923 in Perth Amboy, New Jersey to the late Paul and Angelina Kurtz. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Anna, his daughter Mary, and his granddaughters Sharon and Jency Marie.
He is survived by his brother Mike, and his children Fran Geiger and her husband Fred, Paul Kurtz and his wife Stephanie, Jennifer Robbins, and Debra Schoen and her husband Michael. In addition, he is survived by nine grandchildren: Lori, Delene, Keith, Julianne, Eric, Noel, Kaitlyn, Amanda, and Melissa as well as thirteen great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild.
Paul worked with the Civilian Conservation Corps during the early 1940’s and enjoyed planting trees and working outdoors. Paul served in the United States Navy during World War II on the USS Guest. He married Anna Petruska in 1951. Paul was employed at several manufacturing plants during his career including General Motors and Singer Sewing Machines. He enjoyed both playing and watching sports and was an avid fan of the Brooklyn Dodgers and the New York Giants.
Paul loved crabbing and fishing and was a powerful swimmer. He enjoyed gardening, music, fall foliage, and watching classic westerns and war movies. He loved reading the newspaper daily and was very knowledgeable about current events and politics. Paul loved animals including his dog Ricky and his cat Lucy. He always loved spending time with his family and will be dearly missed.
Paul will be laid to rest in the Stillwater Cemetery on July 17, 2020.
