Pedro Luis Morales, at just 72 years old, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 23, 2026, at Newark Beth Israel Hospital in Newark, NJ,. The warmth of his spirit will forever remain in our hearts.
Born on November 7, 1953, in the town of San Sebastián, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Jesus Morales and Mercedes Perez. Pedro’s life was a testament to love, resilience, and unwavering devotion—a devoted father and an infinitely proud grandfather whose smile could light up any room. He was preceded in death by his oldest son, Rolando Morales, a loss that only deepened his capacity to love and cherish those still with us.
Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes of Puerto Rico, Pedro carried that vibrant spirit wherever he went. He built a life in Hoboken, NJ, where he and his then wife, Gertrudis Medina, raised their four children. In 1992, he returned to his beloved homeland of Puerto Rico, spending nearly 25 years immersed in its beauty and traditions before drawing himself back to New Jersey, eager to reconnect and share more moments with his family.
Pedro was a genuine friend to many, remembered most for his radiant smile, generous heart, and contagious love for music. His zest for life shone through his passion for action films, participation in sports of wrestling and martial arts in his youth, and playing the guitar—gifts that revealed his soulful spirit. His humor was endless, and his compassion knew no bounds. Nothing brought him greater joy than being with his children and grandchildren, creating memories and sharing his memories.
He leaves behind a loving family—his daughter Nancy Morales-Frigoletto and her husband Paul, son Gustavo Morales, and his son Pedro Morales with his partner Yesenia. His grandchildren, Mayra Morales, Angel Pagan and his wife Beatrice, Amanda Santiago, Ariana Frigoletto, Mathew Rivera, Nathan Morales, Brandon Morales, Pedro Morales, and Samuel Morales, along with his great-granddaughter, Camila Rivera Morales, are a testament to his legacy of love.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Newark Beth Israel Hospital for their exceptional care and heartfelt compassion during his final days. Pedro Luis Morales’s spirit will forever inspire and comfort all who knew him—his love, laughter, and kindness etched into our memories forever.
