Ramon Obdulio Salazar

Ramon Obdulio Salazar, age 100, of Elizabeth, New Jersey passed away on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at the Trinitas Hospital in Elizabeth NJ. Ramon was born June 29, 1920 to the late Dolores Arcila and Jesus Maria Salazar in Granada, Colombia. Ramon came to the United States in 1969. He predeceased by his wife,Esther Salazar in November of 2014 and his son, Obdulio Salazar, in September of 1995. He was a co- founder of the Colombian Lions Club and was a active member who helped coordinate charitable events for families in need in both Elizabeth, NJ and Columbia. Ramon

was a man who cherished his family and friends. He made a lasting impression on everyone he met. All who knew him will miss his gentle smile. He was a devoted husband , father, grandfather and great grandfather.

Ramon is survived by his beloved family; Martha and Andres Marquez, Betty and Franz Hausammann, Myrian Salazar, Louis G. and Consuelo Salazar and Jairo and Stephanie Salazar and his daughter-in-law Astrid Salazar. He also survived by 5 sisters and 2 brothers and 15 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren.

A visitation for Ramon will be held Monday, March 22, 2021 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Krowicki McCracken Funeral Home, 2124 East Saint George Ave., Linden, NJ 07036. Funeral mass will be offer at 10:30 AM St. Anthony of Padua R.C. Church, 853 3rd Ave., Elizabeth, NJ 07202. Cremation will be private.
