Rosa Ana Gómez, nacida el 7 de junio de 1948 en Orocúe, Colombia, falleció en paz la mañana del 16 de mayo de 2025, rodeada del amor de su hijo, Ronald Ramírez, y su hermana, Ana Flor Moreno. Ahora descansa junto a su querido hijo Roger Ramírez, quien partió en noviembre de 2008.

Rosa emigró a Estados Unidos con el sueño de ofrecerle una vida mejor a su familia. Con mucho esfuerzo, amor y dedicación, construyó una vida bonita y dejó una huella en todos los que la conocieron. Trabajó por más de 30 años en el Departamento de Mantenimiento de la Universidad de Kean, donde fue muy querida y respetada por sus compañeros. Se jubiló en mayo de 2010, dejando atrás una carrera llena de compromiso y cariño.

Más que nada, Rosa fue el alma de su familia. Siempre estuvo ahí con una palabra amable, una sonrisa o un abrazo. Fue una mamá y hermana increíble, que amó sin medida y dio todo por los suyos. Tenía una risa contagiosa, un corazón generoso, y siempre estaba dispuesta a ayudar a quien lo necesitara.

Le encantaba estar al aire libre, salir a caminar y disfrutar de la naturaleza con sus seres queridos. También le gustaba ver fútbol, leer, y siempre encontraba tiempo para ayudar a otros o apoyar causas que le importaban. Para ella, ser mamá fue lo más importante y lo que más orgullo le dio en la vida.

Rosa tenía una fe profunda que la acompañó siempre, incluso en los momentos más difíciles. Su confianza en Dios fue una fuente de fuerza y consuelo hasta el final.

La vamos a extrañar muchísimo, pero su amor, su ejemplo y su alegría vivirán por siempre en quienes tuvimos la suerte de conocerla.

Rosa Ana Gomez, born on June 7, 1948, in Orocúe, Colombia, passed away peacefully on the morning of May 16, 2025. She was surrounded by the love of her son, Ronald Ramirez, and her sister, Ana Flor Moreno. Rosa now reunites with her beloved son, Roger Ramirez, who preceded her in death in November 2008.

In pursuit of a better life for her family, Rosa immigrated to the United States. She built a life rooted in love, hard work, and service. Rosa dedicated over three decades to her career at Kean University, where she worked in the Maintenance Department. She retired in May 2010 after 30 years of loyal service, earning the respect and admiration of her colleagues.

Rosa was the heart of her family—a source of strength, compassion, and unconditional love. She was a devoted mother and a loyal sister, always present to offer guidance, warmth, and support. Her laughter was infectious, and her kindness left a lasting mark on everyone she met.

She especially enjoyed spending time outdoors, often going for walks in nature with friends and family. Rosa had a generous spirit, frequently helping loved ones and contributing to charitable causes close to her heart. She took great pride in being a mother and considered it her life’s greatest role.

In her free time, Rosa found joy in watching soccer and reading. Her deep spirituality sustained her throughout life’s challenges, and she remained faithfully grounded in her trust in the Lord until her passing.

Rosa Ana Gomez will be remembered for her resilience, generosity, and the boundless love she gave to her family and community. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those she touched.

A visitation for Rosa will be held Friday, May 23, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at KROWICKI MCCRACKEN FUNERAL HOME, 2124 East Saint George Ave, Linden, NJ 07036.
