Silvio Rosa of Elizabeth, NJ, peacefully passed away at home on July 28, 2026 at age 91 surrounded by loved ones. A cherished father, grandfather, uncle, brother-in-law, and friend, Silvio was born on April 21, 1935, in Vallata, Italy, to Michelina (Del Sordi) Rosa and Costantino Rosa. He lived and worked in Italy and Switzerland before immigrating to the US in 1974 with his family, settling in Peterstown. He went on to work for General Motors for 23 years until his retirement in 1998. Known for his humor and enjoyment of life, he cherished spending time with friends and family. Predeceased by his parents, wife Maria (Palmisano) Rosa, siblings Carmen, Gerardo, Ciriaco, Nela, Pia, and Melina, Silvio leaves behind his sons, Mauro and Michael, along with their wives Nelia and Carolina, and grandchildren Ava Sofia and Julian. He was a devoted uncle to many nieces and nephews in the US and Italy. Silvio’s generosity, kindness, and fun spirit touched the lives of many. His legacy of love, laughter, and family will live on in those who knew him.
Visitation will be held at KROWICKI MCCRACKEN FUNERAL HOME, 2124 East Saint Georges Ave, Linden, on Sunday, August 2, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a funeral on Monday, August 3, 2026, 9:00 am from the funeral home.
Funeral Mass will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, Elizabeth, at 10:00 am.
Entombment to follow at Rosedale Cemetery, Linden.
