Veronica Maynard

It is with deep sorrow and heartfelt love that we announce the passing of our beloved Veronica Dora Maynard, who peacefully passed away at her home in Roselle, New Jersey, on July 22, 2026.

Veronica was born in Cuba to her loving parents, Dora Veronica McKenzie and Lawrence A. Maynard. As the eldest of six children, she embraced her role with love, strength, and unwavering devotion. In June 1971, she immigrated to the United States from Guantánamo, Cuba, with her parents and younger siblings, where she built a life centered on faith, family, and hard work.

A faithful Episcopalian, Veronica lived her life guided by kindness, compassion, and generosity. She worked for several years at Teledyne before dedicating 26 years of service to American Products, retiring on December 15, 2017. Her dedication, reliability, and strong work ethic earned the respect and admiration of her coworkers and friends.

Nothing brought Veronica greater joy than caring for those she loved. She was happiest when surrounded by family, preparing delicious home-cooked meals and beautiful feasts for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and countless family gatherings "just because." Her kitchen was the heart of her home—a place where love was shared through every meal.

In her quiet moments, Veronica enjoyed watching the Cooking Channel, HGTV, Property Brothers, Jeopardy!, CNN, Mega TV, Univision, and Telemundo. She loved cooking, home design, learning new things, and staying informed about the world around her. These simple pleasures brought her comfort and joy.

Veronica is lovingly survived by her siblings, Patricia Maynard, Ricardo Maynard, and Elizabeth Maynard; her sisters-in-law, Mayda Maynard, Lucy Maynard, and Mariolis Maynard; her nieces, Sarahy Maynard, Yunaisys Maynard, Erika Maynard, Thaimi Maynard, and Alliana Maynard; her nephews, Jorge Dayron Mendez Maynard and Allan Espinosa Maynard; as well as many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.

Veronica will forever be remembered for her loving heart, quiet strength, unwavering faith, generous spirit, and the joy she found in bringing people together. Her love for her family was evident in everything she did, and the memories she created around her table will be treasured for generations to come.

Though she is no longer with us in person, her love, wisdom, and legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. May she rest in eternal peace.

Visitation will be held at KROWICKI MCCRACKEN FUNERAL HOME, 2124 East Saint Georges Ave, Linden, on Friday, August 7, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a funeral on Saturday, August 8, 2026 from KROWICKI MCCRACKEN FUNERAL HOME. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am followed by interment at Rosedale Cemetery.
