Yuk Jun (Li) Cheng

Our beloved Yuk Jun Li passed away peacefully on June 7, 2024 with her children by her side. She was a woman of extraordinary strength, character, and independence, whose kindness and love touched everyone she met. Yuk Jun is survived by her three children, as well as her five grandchildren, and a multitude of close family and friends. Known for her tireless devotion to her family and friends, Yuk Jun’s selflessness was a cornerstone of her life, always ensuring that those around her were cared for and loved.

Yuk Jun’s love for cooking and hospitality in hosting family and friends for countless home-made meals brought joy and warmth to everyone around her. She was the rock of her entire family, demonstrating an unwavering work ethic and an enduring spirit that inspired everyone who knew her. Yuk Jun’s legacy of selfless care, love, and dedication to her family and friends will forever be remembered, and her presence will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May her memory continue to inspire kindness and compassion in us all.

During the final week of life, Yuk Jun, was very fortunate to be supported by the New York Lotus Pure Land Buddhism Group with continuous chants and guidance for her peaceful passing. We are forever grateful for their dedication and support.

Yuk Jun's lifelong dream was to Care and Provide for the less fortunate orphan, so in her honor the children have created a fundraising page to forward all donations to Save the Children Foundation in lieu of gifts and flowers.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2024 at Krowicki McCracken Funeral Home (2124 East Saint George Ave, Linden, NJ 07036) at 11am, followed by burial at Ewing Presbyterian Christian Church Cemetery (100 Scotch Rd. Ewing, NJ 08628) at 2:45pm.

A visitation for Yuk will be held Thursday, June 27, 2024 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at KROWICKI MCCRACKEN FUNERAL HOME, 2124 East Saint George Ave, Linden, NJ 07036. Following the visitation will be a funeral from 2:45 PM to 3:30 PM at Ewing Cemetery, 78 Scotch Rd, Ewing Township, NJ 08628.

Order of service is as follows:

11AM-11:30AM Friends and family arrival at the Krowicki McCracken Funeral Home

11:30AM-12:30PM Pureland Chanting

12:30PM-1:30PM Lunch and Burning Ritual

1:30PM Departure to Ewing Cemetery
