Arthur Gordon Thomits

Arthur Gordon Thomits, 89, of Lisbon Falls, Maine, passed away on June 24, 2026. Born February 17, 1937, in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, he was the son of Arthur and Annette Thomits and the brother of William Thomits.

Skip graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a BS degree. He also served his country with distinction in the Navy and the Coast Guard Reserves, reflecting a steady sense of duty and commitment.

On September 13, 1969, Skip married Linda Prescott at St Catherine Church in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Together they built a life grounded in devotion and enduring partnership.

Skip found enjoyment and fellowship in golf and skiing—pursuits that suited his quiet determination and appreciation for time well spent.

Skip is survived by his spouse, Linda; his children, Kurt Thomits, and Kevin Thomits and his wife Amanda Thomits; and his grandchildren, Haven, Gabe, Sam, and Liam Thomits.

Skip will be interred at the New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, New Hampshire.
