Freeport - Beulah E. Dunton, 97, formerly of Lisbon Falls, passed away Tuesday May 15, 2018 at The Hawthorne House in Freeport. She was born in Bath, Maine on December 31, 1920, a daughter of the late Elias Melvin and Mary Pratt. She was educated in the Bath schools, graduating from Morse High School in 1939 as a National Honor Society Student. She worked in Wilson's Drug Store and the First National Bank of Bath. On January 10, 1945 she married Albert (Al) Dunton of Bingham, Maine who passed away on September 28, 2006 at the Hospice House after a short illness. On moving to Lisbon Falls, she worked for Lewiston Trust Company Bank for 4 years. She then worked side by side with her husband in their business, Dunton's Department Store for many years until retirement. She was active in the Baptist Church singing in the choir and as a Sunday school teacher. She was very active in the Order of the Eastern Star as a member, Worthy Matron, several other officers, Past Grand Ruth of Maine, Grand Representative to Ontario, Canada and Bolivia and traveled much in visitations of other chapters of Maine and other states. She also served as Pianist in the Order of Rebekahs being a member since 1987 and received the Declaration of Chivalry, the highest award in the Order of Rebekahs. Much enjoyment was shared in the life of her only child Douglas Pratt Dunton of whom she was greatly proud and with whom she shared so much.
Beulah is survived by 3 nieces: Martha Pratt, Gloria Barnes and Joan Pratt. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband: Albert (Al) Dunton, her son: Douglas Pratt Dunton, her infant daughter: Barbara Ellen Dunton, 2 brothers: Foster Pratt, Shirley Pratt, a niece Mary Pratt and her nephew: David Pratt.

Visitation will be held Monday at The Crosman Funeral Home from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Funeral Service will be held at The Lisbon Falls Baptist Church on Route 196 on Tuesday at 1:00 PM. Committal Services will follow at The Oak Grove Cemetery in Bath, Maine.
