Carol opened her home to me with no questions asked when I was growing up and never asked for anything in return. She not only gave me my best friend, she also gave me a place to call home for a while. She did her best to keep Trish and I out of trouble (not necessarily an easy task, more because of me than because of Trish). My most vivid memories are of being late for curfew (again) and having to explain (we were quite terrified). Although I was too young at the time to really understand and appreciate the gifts she gave to me, looking back I realize what an amazing human being she was. l will never forget her kindness or her strength.

With sincere sympathy and much love,
Nermi
