Born on February 2, 1943, in Franklin, New Hampshire, Dean was the son of Dewey and Phyllis Ingerson. He attended Lisbon High School, where he began forming the strong work ethic and deep-rooted values that would guide him throughout his life.
Dean dedicated over six decades to a career driving construction vehicles and tractor-trailers. For 62 years, he worked tirelessly across roads and job sites, retiring at the age of 80 years old. His commitment to his profession was matched only by his devotion to his family.
Dean was married to the love of his life, Joan (Garns) Ingerson, for 61 years, a bond that stood as a testament to enduring love and partnership. Together they built a life centered around family and shared adventures. Dean loved the family Christmas gatherings at their home, cherished family camping trips, traveling with Joan, attending sporting events for his grandchildren and breakfast dates with family. He was an avid fan of the New England Patriots and Celtics.
Left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife, Joan; his sister, Donna Bailey; his brother Dana Ingerson; his loving children, David Ingerson, Carol Edwards, Sandra and her husband James Urquhart. Dean’s legacy continues through his grandchildren, Amanda Chillemi (Peter), Hailee Ingerson, Katelyn Ingerson, Casi Raymond (James), Jay Edwards, Ryan Urquhart (Emily), and Nicholas Urquhart (Cassidy). He also leaves behind his great-grandchildren, Silas and Evelyn Chillemi, Logan and Addison Urquhart, and another great-grandson expected in January. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Dean is predeceased by his parents; brother Dewey Ingerson Jr., sisters Dolores Wagg and Dale Wagg.
A man of quiet strength and unwavering dedication to those he loved, Dean will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grampa, great grampa, and friend.
