He was born to Vernal Glidden Sr. and Evelyn Farris on July 24, 1944, in Waterville.
He served his country as a soldier in Vietnam. As a civilian, he was a certified nursing assistant at various nursing homes.
Dennis and his wife, Iverne E. Coombs Campbell were married in 1976.
Survivors include six stepchildren, Sharon M. Bouchard of Brunswick, Daniel and Charles Campbell of Skowhegan, Judith Campbell of Ogden, Utah, and Dwight and Charles Hilton Jr. of Lewiston; two brothers, Donald Glidden of Oregon and Harold of Thomaston; and two sisters, Bea Skinner and Mary Ann Bryant of Belfast.
He was predeceased by his wife; his parents; one sister, Alta Williamson; two brothers, Vernal Jr. and Robert Glidden; and an infant stepson, William Campbell.
