Elizabeth Marie Cheek

Elizabeth Marie Cheek, 83, died November 5, 2010, at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough, Maine. She was born October 16, 1927 in Little Valley, New York a daughter of the late Emery and Avis (Cromwell) Post.

She was a caretaker throughout her life and was known for her kindness, gentle ways, wit and her great love for children, animals, family and friends. Anyone who wasn't family was a friend to her.

Elizabeth Cheek is survived by her son, Wally Cheek; her daughter Beth Landergren; her daughter Ruth Decker and her husband Frank; her grandchildren: April Noble, Sandi Hoitsma and Sally Decker; and 2 great-grandchildren: Robert and Lily Parks; her sister, Crystal Webster; brother, Richard Post, as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Wallace Cheek Sr., her mother Avis Post and her brother Wesley Post.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, November 9th, 11am at Shiloh Chapel Cemetery, Shiloh Rd. in Durham, Maine.
