Judy and family, I am so very sorry for the loss of your sister Evelyn. As an older sister I never met her but she has that wonderful smile you have Judy. I’m sure she appreciated the love and care you all were able to give her. My sincere condolences.

My 70-year friendship with this beautiful lady was filled with fun, adventures, and maybe a few mishaps along the way. No one ever had a more loyal and supportive friend than Ev was to me.
There is a huge hole in my heart and in my life.
Much love and caring thoughts to Roberta and Judy.

My visits to Maine were not complete without being able to sit and chat with Evelyn (and Laura when she was still with us). Evelyn was more of a big sister and friend than just my friend’s sister. She was genuine and caring and fun. Trips to Fat Boys were a favorite “plus” when we saw each other. Lobster rolls! Sitting on the front steps to view the Moxie parade was a special time. And just sitting in the rocking chairs on the screened in porch, reminiscing about people we knew, bring back memories I hold dear. I will miss Evelyn and will keep my memories of her in a special place in my heart forever. My loving thoughts are with you Bert and Judy.

Roberta and Judy
I have so many memories of Evelyn over the years, but there’s a special one that always comes to mind when I think of her. On one of my trips back to Maine Evelyn made a pot of vegetable soup for me because she knew, growing up, it was a favorite of mine that her mother used to make. How many older sisters of a close friend would take the time, or even think to do something like that.
Know that CB and I are thinking of you often during this time. 🥰
