

She was born on April 28, 1944, the beloved daughter of Alberta (Pennel) and Nelson Hersey.
Hazel met the love of her life, Gary Harriman, on a blind date. They were married on June 22, 1974, and shared over five decades of love, and laughter. Together, they created a life full of adventure and connection—especially through their shared love of camping. Over the years, many cherished friendships were formed around the campfire.
Hazel found joy in crocheting, bird watching, and snowmobiling. Her quiet strength and kind heart touched all who knew her.
She is predeceased by her parents, Alberta and Nelson as well as her brother Reginald Hersey.
Hazel is survived by her devoted husband, Gary Harriman of Lisbon; her children: Michael Dexler of Lisbon, Theresa Harriman Corbin (Joe) of Sabattus, Richard Harriman (Dia) of Cape Coral, FL, and Daryl Harriman (Tabby) of Topsham.
She also leaves behind her grandchildren: Amanda Corbin Bennett, Matthew Corbin, and Patrick Dexler; as well as her great-grandchildren: Jeremiah Poole, Corbin Bennett, Axel Corbin, Evelynn Bennett, and Eleanor Corbin and many loving nieces an nephews.
Hazel is survived by her siblings: Laura Darling, John Hersey, and Robert Hersey.
Hazel will be remembered for her warmth, loyalty, and the deep love she held for her family and friends. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
A Visitation for Hazel will be held Friday, July 18, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Crosman Funeral Home, 40 Main Street, Lisbon Falls, ME 04252.
