Howard A. Cushman

Yarmouth- Howard Alonzo Cushman of Pownal, Maine passed away on November 22, 2014, he was 93. He was born in Charleston Massachusetts, son of the late James Carroll Cushman and Margie Haley. Howard is a mischievous and loved son, brother, father and grandfather. He grew up in Maine but traveled the world with the U.S. Army, from which he retired at Fort Belvoir. After his dedication to the military he ventured out into business for himself. For his next endeavor, he owned and operated his own contracting business called “Cushman and Son” in Alexandria Virginia until he returned to Maine where he owned and operated his farm. Howard was predeceased by his first wife Lestina Tripp Cushman, his sons Charles and James, and daughters Helen and Margie-Ann. He is survived by his dedicated wife, Leonie Bouchard Cushman, his daughter Carol Casey, grandchildren: Lestina, Howard, Margie-May, Michael, Jimmy, Lisa, Hellyn, Marie, Buddy, Emily. Great grandchildren: Rebekah, Jaime, Jessica, George, Mickayla, Kyle, Madelyn, Caitlyn, Brooklyn, Abigail, Elizabeth, Catherine, Christopher, Catherine, Conor, Claire, Emily, Andrew, Kelsey, Nicholas, Lucas, Ruby and 5 great-great grandchildren.
