LEWISTON: Jerry L. McDaniel, 74, of Bowdoin peacefully passed away at CMMC on Saturday June 9, 2018 with his loving family by his side. He was born in Neosho Falls, Kansas on August 29, 1943 a son of the late Lloyd and Velma (Finch) McDaniel. He grew up in the Kansas area and attended local schools. In 1963 Jerry enlisted in and proudly served our country as a flight engineer in the United States Navy. He was also very involved in the Cuban Missile Crisis. During that time, on April 11, 1969, he married Donna (Huntington) and the two started a family together. After his honorable discharge in 1981 he worked construction and landscaping jobs while in the process of obtaining his CDL. Once achieved, he enjoyed the freedom of the road as a truck driver for over thirty years until his retirement.
He will always be remembered for his love of the outdoors and camping, especially at Deer Farm Campground in Kingfield. He will be deeply missed by many.
He is survived by his loving partner, Ms. Drew Mitchell of Bowdoin, his two children; Jake McDaniel and his wife Tammy of Lisbon Falls and Lisa Nile and her husband Dan of Bowdoinham. He also leaves behind his grandchildren; Trevor and Katelyn McDaniel and Devin and Audrey Nile as well as a brother, Harley McDaniel of Columbus, Kansas, a niece Amy Theriaque and her husband Raymond of Moosup, CT, a brother-in-law, John Menard and his son Johnathan of Brunswick as well as several nieces and nephews . He was predeceased by his loving wife, Donna McDaniel in 2016 , two daughters; Jennifer and Nancy and a brother, Harold McDaniel.

Visiting hours will be held a Crosman Funeral Home, 40 Main St. Lisbon Falls on Sunday June 24, 2018 from 10am-12pm followed by a Celebration of Life service at 12pm also at the funeral home.
