My condolences to the Golino family. I worked softball with John and he was a steady, dependable partner. He excelled at fast-pitch and was always up for the games. We found time to talk about our families and, I know, he was very proud of his children. My thoughts and prayers are with your family; he will be missed by many people in many different ways. Johnny your Dad, John and I had the pleasure to meet you Stephanie and the children two summers ago in Maine. I had heard your Dad speak about you so many times in such a loving way that I just couldn't wait to meet you and your family. And you lived up to every single thing that he ever described about you. He told me you were the best Dad to the children and the best husband to Stephanie. Johnny even when you were ill and you. should have been resting you made sure you spent quality time with your children. You were wise beyond your years, you knew your life on this Earth would be cut short. I will always be grateful that I had the opportunity to travel with your dad to Maine that summer. Without that I would have not ever met such a wonderful person or such a wonderful family. May God keep you in His Arms to suffer no more, and enjoy the Eternal Peace & Joy of Heaven.

My husband & I knew John Jr when he was a boy. His father & Don we're in a band together. As we all grew older & all of us moved in different directions I would get updates from Rose about her sons. I remember her telling me about his long battle with Crohn's & that was heartbreaking enough. With his passing no parent should be going through this. Our hearts break for all the family. John will be watching his family from above. Just watch for special signs that he's around. πŸ’”πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™β€οΈ

Roberta and I would go to Baseball games & loved. Watching Aiden, John.
I was impressed on a particular game. Aiden was on the mound during warmups
John called for balls in& told Aiden to come in from the pitcher mound. Aiden replied "no".when guided the ball he had on the mound toward the dugout it hit John in the shin.John did a double take to see where the ball came from
John walked to the mound, put his hand on Aiden's shoulder & and they both walked to the dugout. John sat Aiden out for some of the game, after he let Aiden play.
We were impressed by John by the way he showed his professional manner in which he handled the matter. John methodically disciplined & then let Aiden play again. All this accomplished with no shouting ,as I probably would have done. Jon showed what a Class act he was.John showed his love forAiden
John will be missed by many of us.
