

AUBURN: Josephine L. (Ma, Gee, Josie, Jo and at one time she was called Dodo) Bell, 84, of Lisbon passed away Tuesday February 16 at Clover Manor in Auburn. She was born in Brunswick, Maine on August 24, 1931 a daughter of the late Alexander Frank and Elizabeth (Ogg) Copp. She was a graduate of the Brunswick High School class of 1950. She moved to Lisbon Falls in the early 1960s. She worked various jobs over time such as Jay Brush, Eastland Shoe, Worumbo Mill, Marios, Chucks Superette, Bath Iron Works and she last worked at Lisbon High School. She volunteered at Coombs-Mountfort Legion Post #158 where she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary. She loved cooking for the Veterans when they came from Togus V.A. Macaroni and cheese and lasagna were her specialties. She had many friends over the years and usually a wisecrack for them too. She enjoyed dancing, gardening, her swimming pool, crafts and time with family and friends. Her biggest love outside of family was a little guy named Mickey Mouse. She had a “small“ collection of Mickey stuff. At one time she shaved the side of her head and had a Mickey drawn on there. She will be sadly missed by all. She is survived by her son David Fraser and his wife Terry of Chelsea, her sister, Mrs. Blaine (Margaret) Austin of Durham as well as her three grandchildren, David (DJ) Fraser and his wife Heather of Buckfield, April Newton of Turner and Ashlee Kates from Turner. She also leaves behind two great-grandchildren Dylan and Cash Newton and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Robert and George Copp, sisters Mrs. Howard (Mabel) Williams and Caroline Osmond and a very good friend in Dot Winn.
