

LEWISTON: Leonard E. Ridley, Sr., 84, of Lisbon passed away Tuesday April 14 at Marshwood Nursing Care Center in Lewiston. He was born in Lisbon on June 10, 1930 a son of the late John and Avis (Beal) Ridley. He grew up in the Lisbon area and attended local schools there. He married Roberta Darling on July 15, 1950 in Sabattus. For much of Leonard’s life, he was a self-employed construction business owner and operator. He will always be remembered for his love and passion for his work and his enjoyment of dancing. He is survived by his three children; Everett and his wife Vicki Ridley of Lewiston, Roland Ridley of Lisbon and Tina-Marie Berger and her husband John of Maryland. He also leaves behind his siblings; Ethel Gagne, Lillian Leet, Bea Fletcher, Eva Plummer, Betty Rideout, Beverly Leighton, Linda Poulin and John, Eugene and George Ridley as well as his 15 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his loving wife Roberta, a son Leonard Ridley, Jr. and three siblings; Raymond, Shirley and Phyllis. Interment will take place at a later date at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Sabattus.
