Madeleine T. Menard

AUBURN: Madeleine T. Menard, 90, of Lisbon passed away peacefully on Sunday June 5, 2016 at the Hospice House in Auburn with her family by her side. She was born in Brunswick on August 26, 1925 a daughter of the late Alfred and Bella (Poulin) Coulombe, Sr. She grew up in the Brunswick area and attended local schools there. On June 22, 1946 she married Ovide Menard in Brunswick at St. John’s Church and the two started a family together. During that time, she worked at various mills and shoe factories. She will always be remembered for her love of doing many kinds of crafts, especially with the different varieties of seashells she would collect while her and Ovide were in Florida for the winters. She is survived by her two children; Henry Menard and his wife Ann of Brunswick and Connie Fowler and her husband Ken of Lisbon Falls and a brother, Chanel Coulombe and his wife Rita of Topsham. She also leaves behind two grandchildren, David Menard and Cathy Williams and her husband Glen, four great-grandchildren; Brett and his wife Becky and Jared Williams and Alexa and Natalie Menard, three great-great grandchildren; Blake Williams, and Kaelyn and Shannon Chartier as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Ovide Menard in 2015, six siblings; Jacques, Adele, Mary Jane, Monique, Gus and Alfred, Jr. as well as a grandson, Danny. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Trinity Church in Lisbon Falls on Friday June 24,2016 at 11am with interment at Maine Veterans Cemetery in Augusta at a later date.
