Nicholas Adam Blake

1984 - 2021

Portland - Nicholas A. "Nick" Blake, age 37, of Lisbon Falls, passed away Wednesday afternoon at Maine Medical Center with family at his side. He was born in Brunswick April 18, 1984, one of two boys born to David and Deborah (Crane) Blake.

Nick was educated in Lisbon schools, graduated from Lisbon High School and remained a lifelong resident of this community. In his late teens and well into his twenties, Nick worked in the fast food business in Topsham restaurants until his health forced him to stop working. While working, he made many good friends along the way as they all enjoyed each other's company and Nick's sense of humor. Nick was a well-liked member of the Lower Club in Lisbon and eventually became an on-going designated driver for the other members. He enjoyed spending time there and offering those rides to anyone in need. He enjoyed shooting darts and played in leagues for several years. He also like to sit outside the house in nice weather and watch and interact with the neighborhood kids as they ran around and played their games. In addition, he would spend time making paracord keychains, as a craft-hobby.

Despite his many health issues and setbacks throughout his life, Nick always maintained his sense of humor. He was a loving and hardworking son, brother, nephew and cousin who will be dearly missed.

He leaves behind his Mom and Dad, Deborah and David Blake of Lisbon Falls; his maternal grandfather Carlton Crane of Augusta, many aunts, uncles, cousins and his many friends.

Nick was predeceased by his brother Michael D. Blake in 2007.

A Celebration of Nick's life will take place at Crosman Funeral Home Friday August 20th at 3:30 PM. Interment will take place at a later date in the family lot at Litchfield Plains Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be directed to the Barbara Bush Childrens' Hospital 22 Bramhall St. Portland, ME 04102.
