Paul E. Monat

1947-2022

Paul E. Monat, 74, of Lisbon Falls died Friday April 1, 2022 at the Central Maine Medical Center. He was born November 11, 1947 in Detroit, Michigan the son of Paul, Sr. and Barbara (Jarvey) Monat.

He and Cheryl (McJennett) were married January 25, 1969. Paul was a US Navy career veteran, stationed at Bremerton WA, Norfolk VA, Bermuda, Pensacola FL, Meridian MS, Pearl Harbor HI, San Diego CA and Brunswick ME. After retiring from the Navy he worked as Assistant to the Director of Nursing, became Executive Assistant to his good friend Ted, the President of Parkview Hospital.

He loved riding his Gold Wing with his wife traveling throughout the states from Maine to California. On occasion he would go on solo journeys including a trip to the Golden Gate Bridge and back. He and Cheryl also enjoyed camping especially at the Two Lakes Campground.

Paul is survived by his loving wife Cheryl Monat; their son Thomas Monat, Daughter-in-law Jo Deam, Grandchild, Trea Deam-Monat, brothers Tom and Frank, and sisters Mary and Janet.

He was predeceased by his parents and sisters, Pam and Renee.

He will be missed by many, especially lifelong friends, Bud and Mary.

Visitation will be 3-4 pm Friday with a Celebration of his Life following at 4 pm all at the Crosman Funeral Home, 40 Main Street, Lisbon Falls.

After the services please stop for a brief visit at the residence, 24 Dumas St, Lisbon Falls.
