What can I say about Paul? He and I didn’t always get along in Backlash, in fact, sometimes we annoyed the hell out of each other, but no matter the issue, his focus was on playing and making the people happy. He never missed a gig, most times he was new first one there.. I used to joke with him about trying to get places ahead of him and sometimes succeeded. Of course he would act like it was fine, but we all knew he was secretly making plans to show up earlier to the next one. He loved his orange Fiat and would talk about it all night as well as whatever guitar he purchased or traded the previous week. Every amp he owned had a broken volume knob because it kept getting louder as the night went on. When we would tell him to turn it down the little grin would come out and he’d make a show of turning the knob, but as he used to say, “it’s rock and roll”.. Backlash will never be the same without him.

We've known Paul for so many years. Donny worked with Paul and now with Dustin at Hardings. We would go watch him play out with various bands over the years and always met up at car shows. Hard to believe he is gone but one things for sure we will never forget him. I knew him from way back when he and a friend of mine were a item. So yeah, it's been a long time....a guitar gently weeps😓. Our deepest sympathies to you all.
