

Rachel C. Richard, 83, of Lisbon died peacefully on June 19, 2015 at her home with her loving family of children and grandchildren by her side. She was born on February 22, 1932 in Paquetteville, Canada, the daughter of Odonias and Alice (Pariseau) Blais. The family relocated to Lisbon, Maine in the early 1930’s and attended Saint Dominic High School for two years. On September 5, 1955, she married her husband Roland P. Richard of Lewiston and settled in Lisbon to raise their family. She was a parishioner of Saint Ann Church in Lisbon until it consolidated becoming Holy Trinity Church where she continued to celebrate her devotion and faith to God and family. She worked in the textiles industry for the majority of her life at various mills throughout her career including the Bates Mill, Farnsworth Mill, and retiring at age 72 from Miller Industries in Lisbon Falls. She was a caring, compassionate loving mother to her children and loving Memere to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a little lady with a tremendously large heart and loved spending time with her family, cooking, going on walks, and spending quite time talking. She is survived by her son David R. Richard and his wife Sheri of Monmouth, daughter Linda P. Gamache and her husband Lee of Lisbon, four grandchildren Jessica Bolduc, Christopher Gamache, Cooper Richard, Madison Richard, six great-grandchildren, and sibling Therese Beliveau of Rockforest Canada. She was predeceased by her husband Roland P. Richard in 2000, her parents Odonias and Alice (Pariseau) Blais, siblings Earnestine, Robert, Yvette, Renaud, and Pauline.
