

Devoted husband, beloved father, and adored grandfather and great grandfather. Roger Lee Bowie, 82, of Durham passed away October 3rd at home surrounded by loved ones. He will be greatly missed by his wonderful wife of 29 years, Tanis Bowie. His children Margret, Julie, and Mark Bowie, and Rene Peterson. His grandchildren Josh Libby, Peggy Jergens, and Dominick and Jaxon Peterson. And his great grandchildren Leland and Lydia Libby.
Roger was born on September 3rd in 1935 to Arthur and Alice Bowie and was one of seven children growing up. He attended Edward Little High School and graduated with the class of 1954. As an adult Roger changed the lives of many by spending a large part of his life working in the mental health field as a part Pineland and Tri County. In his free time he loved playing with his grand children in the yard, working in his garden, and working on lawn mowers. He was known locally as the lawn mower guy, because he was always fixing them up, selling them and fixing them for anyone who would ask or stop by.
He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him. Private services will be held. Arrangements under the direction of Crosman Funeral Home, Lisbon Falls, ME.
