My remembrances of Susan were as her colleague in the Lisbon School System where I was Principal and she was a knowledgeable, effective and successful Special Education Director. Our paths crossed again during my Directorship for Androscoggin County Child Development Services where she was Board member. She displayed much compassion for the children and families she served, and always had the answers relating to their educational programs. Her passing creates a void that none other can replace. Susan, you led a life that anyone would have been proud of and you made a difference during your time on earth.

Susan was my boss during her time at the Lisbon School Department. I always appreciated her support for the Special Education program and for the work that we did. I will remember her as being cheerful, having a smile on her face and looking forward to her next concert trip. I am especially sorry that she did not get a longer retirement as I know how much she enjoyed her family, her friends and her many activities.
