

Tyson was born on October 18, 1971 in Lewiston, Maine to Melvin Curtis and Marilyn (Rideout) Curtis. He was a big sports kid in school doing football, baseball, and track. He graduated from Lisbon High School in 1990.
He worked for years at the Lisbon Recreation Department’s summer programming and coached youth football. Tyson loved working with kids and was an ed tech for years in various places like Spurwink, the Collaborative School, and other public schools including Lisbon. He connected with kids and was an amazing influence on them.
Tyson was an amazing, smart, and artistic person. He loved his niece and nephew beyond words and was passing his love of wrestling and Star Wars onto them. Tyson was a caring friend and loved his friends like siblings. To all his friends, he loved you all dearly. Tyson was a hard headed man and put others in front of himself up till his final days.
Remaining to cherish Tyson’s memory are his sister Jocelyn and her partner Sean, his niece and nephew Ilanna and Miles, his cousins John, Jodi, Jerry, Kimmie, Meredith, Heather, and his best friends Travis and Angel.
Preceding Tyson in death are his mother Marilyn, father Melvin, his grandparents, aunts, and uncles.
A celebration of life will be happening on March 23rd from 1-3 at the Olive Pit Brewery in Lisbon Falls.
