

Victoria was born in Brunswick Maine on May 26, 1951 to Ardis (Nickerson) and Albert Popadak. Raised in Lisbon, Victoria attended Lisbon Schools and graduated from Lisbon High School class of 1969. She then attended the University of Maine at Orono graduating in 1973 with a Bachelor’s degree in Art education.
Bridgewater Connecticut became home after marrying her then husband, Craig Worden. Victoria enjoyed performing in numerous ballet recitals throughout her younger adult years as well as employment as a housekeeper for prestigious Connecticut families.
Eventually she opened an art studio in her home where she was able to share her skills and train young artists. Victoria shared space in a gallery In New Milford Connecticut and showed her fabulous watercolor artwork in numerous studios throughout New England. Free Booth Elementary School in Roxbury Connecticut stole her heart for many years where she was the school Librarian. During this time, she attended college as well and earned her Master’s Degree in Art.
In 2006 Victoria moved back home to Maine where she was employed with the Lisbon School Department at Lisbon Community School as the school librarian for 10 years.
Upon retirement she enjoyed gardening, lunches with her friends, beach trips with friends and family and was up for a Maine lobster meal anytime! Victoria was the master of an amazing walnut roll, best chocolate cream pie and for her hand embroidered Christmas ornaments. She will be remembered for her giving heart, her concern for others, her honesty and commitment to following the rules.
Victoria is survived by her brother Bradford Popadak and his wife Bonnie, Sisters Joyce Popadak, Cheryle Robichuad and her husband Wayne and Shannon Plourde and husband Larry as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She also leaves behind her cat, Paige.
Victoria was predeceased by her infant son, Cameron in 1980, her two sisters Jean Anne DiVicino and Patricia E. Governor, as well as her longtime canine companion, Delphin.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 4th from 12PM to 1PM at The Fortin & Pinette Group in at 305 Alfred A Plourde Parkway in Lewiston, Maine, followed by an in house Memorial Service at 1PM. A Catered Reception will take place following the service.
