L. Vivian L. Brown

Durham - Vivian L. Brown, 88, of Durham, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Durham on August 24, 1923, a daughter of the late Charles W. Larrabee Sr. and Martha K. (Wilkinson) Larrabee. She lived her entire life in the Durham area and attended local schools graduating from High School. On January 30, 1943, she married Robert W. Brown and they were happily married for 62 years until his death in 2005. She was a past member of The school board in Durham, the fire department auxiliary, the Sawyer cemetery committee and she volunteered for LACO at the food pantry. She loved horses, attending local fairs with her grandchildren, trips to "Wild River" with her husband, gardening and spending time with her dog "Susie". Vivian is survived by her grandchildren: Robert Brown, Tammy Bard, Donald Brown and Carol Brown, her sisters: Lillian MacFarlane and Gladys Curtis, her brother Charles Larrabee Jr., 11 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great-Great Grandchild, her daughter in law Penny Brown and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday August 21 at 11 AM at the Sawyer Cemetery on Rt. 136 in Durham.
