

Auburn - William M. Stephenson, 84, of Lisbon Falls, passed away on Saturday December 1, 2012, following a brief illness, at The Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice. He was born in Tulsa, OK, on August 13, 1928, a son of James W. Stephenson Sr. and Goldie (Underhill) Stephenson. He attended school in Oklahoma and graduated from Central High School in Jenks, Oklahoma in 1946. In 1951 he joined the Navy and retired in 1971 as a Sr. Chief Petty Officer. After retiring from the Navy, he worked at Durgin's TV in Bath, Maine and waterfront Communication in Harpswell. From 1978 to 1993, he was a special skilled electrician at Bath Iron Works. He is predeceased by his parents; his wife of 30 years, Dorothy (Hodgkins) Stephenson; and a daughter Sherri A. (Stephenson) Erickson. He is survived by 2 sons, James L. Stephenson of Phippsburg; Michael A Soule of Sullivan, a daughter Sharon A. Kuhn of Gurnee, IL., his companion, Gertrude Hall of Lisbon Falls; A brother, James W. Stephenson of Tulsa OK; 2 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Visitation and a Celebration of Life will be held on Friday at the Crosman Funeral Home in Lisbon Falls from 5 PM to 7 PM. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday Evening at 7 PM.
